What is Mbalakh dance ンバラダンス とは

Mbalakh is to best out continually like a metronome by the rhythm of sabar drum "mbeug mbeug " such us "Randa Kath Kin" in kaolack, which depends on what music you play.

At the beginning of Senegal Pop Music, conga was played, and the rhythm was salsa.

Then Congo music has become popular in Senegal and Senegal musicians started to play the rhythm of Congo and salsa with sabar drums.

Then the rhythm was changed to sabar rhythm and it was the beginning of "Mbalakh Pops".

Mbalakh rhythm is sometimes beaten out by the marimba and guitar . It is played with solo of sabar drum and Bakk. It is also spiced up by the rhythm of tama.

The dancers recognize each sound of the musical instrument and they enjoy dancing with creating their own choreography . It's Mbalakh dance.

サバールドラムのブンブンの叩くリズムを「ンバラ」と言います。一定の間隔で音を刻むメトロノームの役割を持つリズム。

セネガルポップス、昔はコンガ（トゥンバ）ドラムがサルサのリズムを刻んでいた。コンゴのりズムが流行ったりもして、サルサやコンゴのリズムをサバールドラムで叩いたことから始り（サルサンバラ）、サバールのリズムを叩くように変わっていった。これがンバラポップスの始り！

最近ではマリンバやギターがンバラのリズムを刻んでサバールドラムのソロやバクが入ったり、タマのリズムが入って曲を盛り上げたりもする。

ダンサーはそれぞれの楽器のパートを聞き分けて、自分のクリエーションでダンスを楽しむこれが「ンバラダンス」
